IV therapy for travelers is perfect for those mid-vacation blues. How often do you have visitors suffer from altitude sickness or need a mid-vacation boost?
We have visitors thank us for “saving their vacation” from their altitude sickness, and others for “getting them ready to get back out there” when their fun vacation has taken a toll on their body and energy levels. If it’s the altitude or just the effects of an active vacation, our IV treatments help travelers make the most of their vacation.
IV Therapy for Travelers as a Vacation Boost
When we are out and about enjoying our vacations, our bodies can take a hit. We are taken out of our usual routines. This and other factors we’re not used too such as physical activities, heavier meals and deserts, drinking, missing workouts, and not drinking enough water can take a serious toll. This doesn’t even take into account the altitude and the dry climate.
Our treatments are the perfect boost to help you combat fatigue and help your guests maximize their trip. A combination of convenience and clinical effectiveness make IV therapy a perfect component to a high-country vacation. We’ll come right to your guest’s room at their convenience with a much-needed dose of hydration, vitamins, minerals, and oxygen.
IV Therapy for Travelers Experiencing Altitude Sickness
How often have you had a guest who can’t enjoy their trip because of the altitude? According to WedMD, any individual who walks, hikes, or climbs over 10,000 feet should only go up an additional 1,000 feet per day thereafter. For every 3,000 feet you climb, rest at least a day at that height. “Climb high and sleep low”: If you have to climb over 1,000 feet in a day, make sure you come back down to a lower altitude to sleep.
Being in this area, many of your visitors may have come for this specific experience, to enjoy peaks of over 14,000 feet in elevation. This is exactly why many visitors schedule us every year for a preventative appointment immediately when they get into town. Even if symptoms have already set in, we can help alleviate them.
When Should a Guest Get an iV?
It’s all personal preference, but the most ideal timeframe for an IV boost is right after a day at altitude. This is the perfect time for fending off a day of travel and potential altitude sickness. And, depending how long their trip is, usually during the middle of a vacation right as fatigue begins to set in. We have found that this is a great pairing with the initial check in process, or great to add to a relaxing morning.
We have some people pick one day and others receive multiple treatments throughout their trip. The morning after a later night, or before an outdoor activity such as hiking and golfing. Also, we see guests get an iV when they are leaving town to help them flush their bodies in order to get back into the office the next day.
